About Damian “DAME” Smith
Damian “DAME” Smith, founder of D.A.M.E. Services, brings 25+ years of experience across electrical, mechanical, and industrial automation environments. He is a Master Electrician, Class A Electrical Contractor, and is licensed, bonded, and insured, delivering safe, code-compliant systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
Damian is OSHA certified with hands-on expertise in Lockout/Tag out, Arc Flash Safety, Class 1 Divison 1 Hazardous locations and Confined Space compliance. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership and project management roles, overseeing teams, budgets, and complex technical operations within large manufacturing environments.
His experience includes:
- Managing maintenance and engineering operations in facilities exceeding 1M+ square feet.
- Leading and supervising teams of up to 90+ technicians and staff.
- Overseeing $20M+ annual maintenance budgets.
- Delivering and supporting projects valued at $10M–$50M+
- Reducing equipment downtime by 20–30% through automation upgrades and predictive maintenance.
- Improving equipment uptime by 25%+ through CMMS implementations (Power BI, SAP, Maximo and Upkeep).

Damian holds an Associate’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management & Finance, and is currently pursuing additional Electrical Engineering coursework to further strengthen his technical and automation expertise.
